Until recently I did not know of anybody in 8/9 months that I had met stricken with this evil.
It seems now everyday I am told so and so has been diagnosed as positive.
744 deaths Tuesday totally horrendous.
People on hear still wanting to watch footie regardless.
Tragic times and you want to pick an argument.
You know what I called you about coming on hear cracking sick jokes.
Nothing has changed about you always looking to get a rise well I am not interested.
its a total joke and we need to do what the likes of Australia and New Zealand have successfully achieved.
Virtually Covid free and back to normality.
Ok, shall I spell it out for you

You take a snide swipe at the Home Counties - I live in the Home Counties and am living through the Tier 4 restrictions myself, as are my family.
You then admit that you've never known so many cases amongst your own circle, so I don't think you are in the position to lecture the home counties, given the record of the south Wales areas - do you?
.
Have you asked yourself how or why the rate amongst your circle is so high?

Is it:

A) A super-spreader is going door to door, coughing and sneezing through your circle's letterboxes?

Or

B) Your circle are themselves not manging the increased risks well enough and are now suffering from an increased infection rate?

You seem to have forgotten about your indignation at restrictions when all this started back in the spring, how you were all super fit and healthy and not in any risk category.

Well if you haven't worked it out yet - we all are at risk but if you take the appropriate steps to avoid contact and risk, the chances are that you won't get it whilst the vaccine is being rolled out and eventually herd immunity will hopefully safeguard you and yours, as well as me and mine.
Unbelievable.
Sit down and read my thread again.

Will have to do this in CAPITALS unfortunately.

Try again

HOME COUNTRIES

NOT

HOME COUNTIES.
You are so quick to spout off in the attempt to get a rise.

To continue.

When I state my circle I mean people who I may have met, heard of, been in the same place.

Not thankfully my close family.

Again spot on in the spring you are quite correct as I knew of nobody thankfully who had been struck down.

You have made a total dick of yourself diving in without reading the post correctly in the hope of once again starting an argument for the sake of it.

Regarding A & B I will leave it to others to maybe comment on both those idiotic statements.

Best to leave it there.

Spot on. Perfectly correct! And in the meantime you can watch a game of football in complete safety.
How scary is that statement?

My mistake - I misread the word in the context of home countries - I've not heard that terminology before - only home counties,

I'll happily admit to being wrong on here, and have done several times - but the 'total dick' title is one only you can claim.as such, I suggest you look up the meaning of 'circle' in the context of socialising because "people who I may have met, heard of, been in the same place" is not a social circle and will probably mislead people. I'd say that including people who you may have met, heard of, been in the same place as would just be a bloody big circle of irrelevance.........

If you cant see the reality of the scenarios A&B then I suggest you block-up your letter box as there must be a super-spreader going out around the Port at night.

Oh, and one last point - your very eloquently put "total crap that its in the Fresh Air" - well I suggest you look at the guidance for Christmas gatherings - one of which being to open windows and doors to let fresh air in to mitigate the viral count.

I'm going now because its Christmas Eve and yet again you've managed to make my piss boil.

I totally despair at you.

All you had to state was your first 2 words "my mistake" but you cannot help yourself can you.

A & B scenarios totally ludicrous.

Over and out.

What a difference one letter 'r' makes eh?
Reminds me of a silly old bugger on here who used to refer to a poster called rncfc as mcfc - over and over again he did it.
I think he changed his user name eventually......

Trying to dig himself out of a hole but struggling.

Stay safe everyone.
Today was surreal as Mrs Nouble said its the first time that we haven't seen anybody about with a bit of tinsel on them.
Pubs, shops all in darkness.
Totally surreal just watched Alan Carrs show The Price is Right.
Must of been filmed in January for this Xmas.
It was filmed with a full audience , everybody hugging and embracing.
No note to state it was filmed pre Covid.

Morning Jon.

Clearly filmed before March for this Xmas.

Normally a notice comes on to state "filmed before Covid reg;s commenced".

Regardless of Covid amazed they filmed a Xmas special at least 10 months beforehand.

Cheers

They can open all grounds to 100% attendance but there is no way I am putting mine or my families health in danger until we have had the vaccine.
I love attending games but can do without putting us ( my family) in danger just to go to watch a game of football.
As for places like Supermarkets, pubs etc you can take every precaution as you can but if others there don't do the same, what can you do?

With hindsight it was a mistake,
It was written at a time when the number of people acquiring the virus had started to rise at an alarming rate. It was written, or rather signed, on behalf of the club. That Gavin Foxhall lacks the foresight that I and many others had it would still not excuse his arrogance.

Hindsight has nothing to do with it. Anyone with a brain could see this latest wave coming. If you allow people back into football stadia it will increase the number of people who become infected. If the number of people infected rises so too will rise the number of people who will die.

It was wrong that the letter was ever signed on behalf of the club. Our club. Mr Foxhall should now withdraw his support. And do so publicly.

You used the emotive term ashamed - but you haven't answered the question - why do you think any fan should feel ashamed of being part of a lobbying campaign?

You know full well how and why lobbying occurs - its a long term exercise to make sure your cause or interests are in the minds-eye of authorities, governing bodies etc.

Did the letter make an immediate difference? No.

Did it put anyone at greater risk? No.

Will it keep the interests of our football club for the attention of the authorities and governing bodies once the situation improves?

Yes.
