Midweek

Is it to late to rearrange a postponed game for Tuesday or Wednesday night because it's going to be a big gap now between our last fixture and next Sunday because the lads will be lacking game time now

And better for fixture list

Flynn was talking up the opportunity now to prepare properly for the Brighton game, so I'd imagine that'd be a bigger priority than squeezing in an extra league match now. If we go out of the cup a week tomorrow though, I'd hope we make every effort to clear the backlog as soon as possible so things don't get even harder if we have further postponements because of weather or COVID.

The two postponed opponents Exeter and Southend, will probably be thankful for a break in the season rather than wanting a midweek away match squeezed in. They both play next Saturday. Our players will probably think the same.

The weather forecast for the next week or so is below freezing at night and around 4c daytime so a similiar situation as today. The rugby play on the pitch next saturday which could put the Brighton game in doubt. Not looking great tbh.

Switching fixtures is no longer allowed. Anyway, that would certainly hand the advantage to Brighton.

Edit: It was switching fixtures for financial gain that is no longer allowed. There is no financial gain if there are no supporters..... hmmm.... :?:

On what basis ?

Tottenham were handed a tie by default earlier on this season in the Carabao Cup when Orient couldn't fulfill the tie by a certain date due to Covid so it could happen

There's an obvious difference. At that stage of the Carabao Cup, the rounds were being played almost back to back, no free weeks to play a postponed match. Also, the FA Cup has already accommodated a much delayed match. The Barrow v Wimbledon postponed first round tie wasn't played until the Thursday of the second round ties. Wimbledon won and played their second round tie three days later..
