There has to be reason why he does not fit in, It`s not us that have to give him a chance, that`s up to the management, he is no way up there with the players we have lost back to there clubs, only time will tell, in the mean time like any new signing they will be given there chance to prove me wrong, just hope MF gives him a chance and has not just brought him in to make up the numbers.
Unlikely to play this w/e due to Covid protocol with regards to isolating.

Depending on the other signings, as he is described as an attacking midfielder/left winger presumably the options are he will adopt the 'Twine' role or as an left winger in a 4-3-3, or 4-4-2 formation (Willmott on the other wing?) with either Labadie or Bennett dropping to the bench when/if Sheehan returns.

Best or worst example of that comes from the other code. In my boyhood I remember Newport had a brilliant scrum half called Allan Evans. Who would have been a star if from any other country bar Wales. And kept out of the National team for an obvious reason.

He's our player now and I wish him the best of luck.

Edit.

Just read the post above.
Thought you were against loans

I didn't realize he was on loan. However he's with us for the rest of the season.

But clearly I will need to be more strident in future, after all there is no 'think' about my view on loans.

It’s certainly difficult to know what exactly he brings to the party until we see him but I’m sure I read somewhere that he’s versatile and can play left midfield too. Let’s hope he aids creativity because there’s precious little threat at the moment. We have at least half a team full of forwards who neither score nor get a chance to.

Let’s hope this signing reignites our form and season.

I reckon this means that one of or both of Willmott and Collins will leave in the next few days.

I wonder if, similar to what County do with some players, Colchester haven’t been playing Gambin in his preferred / strongest position hence why he can’t get in their team and has been made available?
