Just ideas because it is what it is for now
But seriously could we not borrow the heavy roller from Glamorgan cricket at least we wouldn't have divets etc
Re: Temporary solutions for the pitch
2Would imagine that would compact the sand/mud composition thereby compromising the drainage. One would hope the groundstaff are knowledgeable enough to do their best with an almost impossible job.UPTHEPORT wrote:Just ideas because it is what it is for now

Beginning to think that the suggestion of playing elsewhere for the rest of this season, if at all possible, needs exploring. Maybe it wouldn't be sanctioned by the EFL? But if the pitch is deemed not fit for purpose would that leave us liable to sanctions by the EFL?
Re: Temporary solutions for the pitch
3Would EFL allow us to move, have we asked. They may surprise us and say yes.AFC Wimbledon moved in mid season so did Spurs.Have we explored the possibility of playing at the Cardiff City Stadium. They have a lovely surface which would suit our early season passing game.Would the EFL allow it,would Cardiff want us,have we asked.OLDCROMWELLIAN wrote:Would imagine that would compact the sand/mud composition thereby compromising the drainage. 5Definitely worth asking IMO, but would obviously come at a financial cost.Percy plunkett wrote:Would EFL allow us to move, have we asked. 10There would obviously be a cost but,Cardiff may be willing to help their neighbour with a low rent. They helped us when they let us train there ahead of Wembley.
Re: Temporary solutions for the pitch
11Not sure if Twerton Park meets EFL standards now, but would be available as no football is being played there for the rest of the season.
