Good Evening

Really peeved I missed this thread earlier!
Can I join in from Tuesday please. I really enjoy the prediction league, indeed I think our household record of three different winners in three consecutive seasons will never be beaten.
Unfortunately the main prediction league was discontinued due to technical issues and I felt it necessary to leave the current one following a PM from the organiser.

We do our own family mini prediction league but I’m not doing too well in that! I went 0-0 today.

Hopefully join you on Tuesday!

Evening Phil,

My game, my rules.

I'll put you down for a 4-0 win.

Good Afternoon

I’d like to object to the way rule one has been implemented. I think it’s unfair that I have three points, I didn’t predict before kick off so should not score. Happy to start Tuesday from zero.

I hope you have an appeal procedure?

There is no appeal. No point I'm always right. However the penalty for questioning my decisions is an immediate deduction of 3 points. As this is a first offence I have been exceptionally lenient. You have been warned.

It is though just a bit of fun. My estimation, already high, of Reebok has shot up higher still. The work he must put in. I will though donate €20 to the winners nominated charity.

Enjoy.

I’m glad this is just a bit of fun. Although, there is a serious element as well. No point in playing if there weren’t.

Now, one of two things will happen when I make this ‘observation’. Either:

1. Mrs Pembsexile will be proved right when she says I sometimes do not read rules correctly, (board games normally) or,
2. Stan’ comment that he is always right, will have been proved incorrect.

I reckon it’s 60/40 in favour of Mrs P as ‘she knows you know’.

My ‘observation’. I cannot understand how Exile 1976 got 3 points when he went for Colchester to win 3-1. Not that I am taking this seriously of course. Heaven forbid. Exile - no offence intended mate

Thanks Mike.
I shall deduct Exile76 immediately. Unlike me to make a mistake.

I demand justice. It was your mistake Brendan, therefore I insist you reinstate my points and furthermore, deduct points from Pembs for being a dirty, stinking grass !!

Bloody hell. Competition only being going for 36 hrs and there’s war already!!! I think I am going to thoroughly enjoy this

Well I like competitiveness, none of this “ we are all winners” crap!
However on an equal footing i put fair play, I can’t stand cheats. My wife once sneaked a look at my cards in a poker game after I won a successful bluff, we didn’t speak for a week after!

So are Stans rules the same as Brendans?

There’s a conundrum!

My view Phil. With regards to this thread, there is a serious element and there is a fun element. On this one, the fun element trumps the serious element.
