I can't remember him playing for us
Re: Lee Brown
2Young lad probably with us for two or three seasons. Scored quite a few goals.....'Beaver'. Semi-professional footballer would be a better description.
Re: Lee Brown
3Unrecognisable now. He formed a really good partnership with Karl Bayliss.
Great stats:
Debut 22/11/95
League 82 starts + 48 off the bench, 36 goals;
Cups 23 + 7, 11 goals.
Total all comps 105 + 55, 47 goals.

Re: Lee Brown
4I remember him well, was a very good striker at that level. Although his timing of jumping for headers was awful.
So sad to see the state of him now, doesn't even look like the same person.

5I take it,you didn’t follow us during the AFC years.A fella that scores 47 goals should be remembered.UPTHEPORT wrote:https://www.southwalesargus.co.uk/news/ ... wn-jailed/

6To be fair, I think most long term fans try to block out the memory of those years in the wilderness.Percy plunkett wrote:I take it,you didn’t follow us during the AFC years.A fella that scores 47 goals should be remembered.UPTHEPORT wrote:https://www.southwalesargus.co.uk/news/ ... wn-jailed/

Re: Lee Brown
8I remember Beaver well. Around the same time as Karl Bayliss & Carl Dale. Beaver was rumoured to be being watched by league clubs as he was that good. Nothing came of it of course. Sad fall from grace to see him now.

Professional footballer whose injury saw him turn to drugs jailed
The Wales Online always seems to say more than the South Wales Argus?
Uptheport Have you forgotten how to use Google?
It would be nice if Newport County had someone at the club who ex-player could turn to for help and advice?
Who is online
