Downloaded the series of Britannia the other week . Not sure on it so far ??
Trying to hard to be a bit "Game of Thrones" but the acting is a bit wooden in parts .

I'll keep at it though and see

Mrs P has been an avid fan of Call the Midwife for ages. Never seen that much of it although I have been in the same room. For some reason I started watching from this series and got hooked. Missing it now it has finished. I would never admit that to Mrs P though. I blame it on boring Sunday evenings.

Finished watching Safe on Netflix last night.

Not terrible, though the relentless coincidences, twists and turns of a fairly absurd plot became quite tiresome in the end. Think “Homeland” filmed in suburban Cheshire.

The Bridge is good, just as long as you don't mind subtitles (or can speak Swedish and Danish)

Has anyone watched "Flowers"? It is a comedy/drama centred on a family dealing with mental illness in its midst. I'd never heard of the show until a recent trailer (series 2 began on CH4 last night). The trailer made me laugh, and the mention of Series 2 set me off in search of Series 1, which we have caught up on over the past few days.

I expected it to be funnier than it is, but Christ, it's dark in places. Weird, and dark, but then, just when you think "This can't get any bleaker or odder" something will happen that will make you laugh. Or possibly cry. Or both. A strange, weird show, but I cannot wait for Series 2 (on all this week).
