Song of Gwent

There is music in the names of Gwent
As liquid as the sounds that go
Singing, neath the streams that swiftly flow.
Llandegveth,pastoral,heaven sent,
Croes-lan-fro and Ynys-y-fro
Duet-like in Alteryn's hollow.
Wood music sings through trees that rise
From Mescoed Mawr and Wentwood's hills,
And echoes back again from Mounton's empty mills.
Wind music spreads,then sighs,
Away,round ruined castle walls,away.
Music which changes every day.
