Fair warning folks, it's in our rules and guidelines that having a double account does incur a ban.

Please keep this in mind in the future...

Hi,

Can't find the rule which says that threads get removed to anything else if you don't like them.

Genuinely said in sorrow.

It gets moved to Everything Else when it debases into nothing more than a slanging match.

    "Slanging match"

noun: slanging match; plural noun: slanging matches

    a prolonged exchange of insults.

"the marriage descended into a public slanging match"

Censorship.

And you know it is.

Still with over 7,200 hits in the last few days I suspect the point is made.

I have to agree with Stan ( you don't read that every day). This is an on going debate about the County. As much as I think it's been misguided, it seems heavy handed to move it. Most threads have disagreements, this one is no different.
That's my take on it anyway.

Because I and I suspect most people on this board seldom visit this section.

Nobody is forced to read any post or any thread. I am aware that some people say that the thread is boring and nobody is interested. They are entitled to their view. Some people think that the world is flat. They are entitled to their view.

However, knowing that ships disappear over the horizon and seeing photographs from space leads me to believe that that the world is round. I look at the evidence. 7,200 hits leads me to believe that this topic is one people wish to read.

Put it back where it belongs.

Seriously.

Why do you comment on subjects that bore you?

Because you treat this forum like the editorial office of the Socialist Worker.

Were there thousands of disgruntled supporters at the meeting last week?

No

Barely 2% of the paying fan base felt either interested or concerned enough to attend.
So the fact is that 98% of the paying fan base do not feel interested or concerned enough to raise the issues you constantly peddle.

Do yourself a favour - get a hobby, a proper one.
Go and help out at an old peoples home.
Rent an allotment
Take up fishing
Write a book

Actually - don't write a book.............

I get that you don't like my views. Fine.

Now other than someone is holding a gun to your head and forcing you what possible reason can you have for commenting on something you find boring?

I am sure that I would find an article on the latest spring fashion in Paris in the Daily Mail boring. If I were a complete moron I would read the article and spend my time commenting on it.

But I'm not so I don't.

Two words:

Repetition:
"the action of repeating something that has already been said or written"

Duration:
"the time during which something continues"

Now, do you accept that barely 2% of the paying fan base felt either interested or concerned enough to attend.
So the fact is that 98% of the paying fan base do not feel interested or concerned enough to raise the issues you constantly peddle.?

Let me see.

Why don't you answer the simple question why do you write on things that bore you?

A second question. Why do you think I should accept 7,323 hits represents 2% of the fan base?

You really do need to think things through. I don't think you are a perfect idiot. But you are coming across as one.

7293 hits is tiny on a long thread all who would have commented would have re read the thread multiple times as new posts appeared.

I must be up there in the 200's of times clicking on this. So could be 30 people interested the discussion and no necessarily in agreement with you, the rest came across it, read it once or twice.

Basing importance on number of hits is foolish.

Whether people are in agreement with me or not is irrelevant. I post my views and people can comment upon them.

As for the number of people following the thread all we can say is that a thread with 7,500 hits has probably more readers interested than one with 2,000 hits. Which in turn will have more readers interested than one with 500 hits and so on.

If you have read this thread well over 200 times I really would get out more.
