Quiz 1. (ALSO KNOWN AS...)


IDENTIFY THE FOLLOWING.


1. A 1960s' goalkeeper known as the Flying Pig.

2. The winger known as the Kosher Garrincha.

3. The Welsh Wizard or the Prince of Wingers.

4. Der Kaiser.

5. Der Bomber.

6. The Ambassador of Football - the England player who objected most strongly to giving the Nazi salute before the match against Germany in Berlin in 1938.

7. Bald Eagle, a successful manager of Oxford United, Queen's Park Rangers, Newcastle United and Derby County.

8. Someone known as the Cat when he was at home and the Mexico Fumbler when he was away.

9. Thomas the Book.

10. The Boy, until recently Arsenal's all-time leading scorer.

11. The Tipton Terror.

12. Budgie.

13. The Vulture.

14. Captain Marvel.

15. The Gentle Giant.

Number 12 is wrong. He also played for Crystal Palace, West Ham, Fulham and England.
He was nicknamed "Budgie" due to his constant chattering.

You are correct that his nickname was "Budge" but not the answer I'm looking for. I hope the above helps you to find the right answer.
