The simple answer to your question is yes. As a foreign national who has received a custodial sentence of more than twelve months he can. He will be served with papers to deport him towards the end of his sentence.

However under the European Convention on Human Rights, nothing to do with the European Union or Brexit, he can appeal. Probably citing Article 8. The right to a private and family life. The test under 8(2) is one of proportionality. Is the public interest on his being removed greater than his right or the right of any of his family to have him in the UK?
