David Beckham

Avoided a speeding charge, despite the fact that he was speeding.

He engaged "Mr. Loophole" who argued that a notice had arrived a day late, although posted days earlier.

I reckon his legal fees far outweighed any possible fine.

Also, his public "nice guy" image has been badly damaged.

Little chance of a knighthood now, David.

Little chance of a knighthood anyway because he is on the 'unofficial blacklist ' because of the 'tax evasion scheme he and many of the rich joined.

I agree about the 'nice guy image' being tarnished because of the 'loophole ' his brief managed to get him off on........
He got caught speeding , admitted it but got off thanks to the loophole in the law his brief used ....whats the big thing.... its only a fine ( which I am sure he can afford...and three points on his licence....why make such a big thing about it ? #squeekyvoicedwinker

Not very bright either. Accepting his guilt and paying up would surely have been more acceptable in the public's opinion. Would have been forgotten in days. This will linger.
