Why you can't trust the BBC.

Postby Stan A. Einstein » October 22nd, 2018, 11:36 am

Sad little story.

A woman is found dead in her flat in Belfast two years after her death. A man is arrested on suspicion of murder and of stealing from her.

This morning the perpetrator of this crime received a two year custodial sentence. Although the original story is still on the BBC website, the headline reads 'Murder victim, may have been dead for two years' is still up.
Why such a light sentence? Well whilst the crime of stealing from a corpse is repulsive, the woman had died of natural causes. But the BBC website, that bastion of accurate news still insists on calling it murder.

Never let the facts.........eh?

Brendan,
If we are talking about the same story, my link says that the man spent 6k of her money on pizza. Nothing in the headline or the story about murder.

As I mentioned previously, I don't understand how the links, whether it be football or news work on the BBC. Different location, different story. Very strange.

Hi Mike,

Same story. The BBC leave up their old headlines, if you read the story through you should see the link

As for the culprit. Sad little loser. Needs help more than prison. According to news over here bought the same pizza every day for nine months. The family of the late woman are up in arms. She lay dead in her bed for two years and they didn't notice. Hey but losing some of their inheritance and suddenly they're all care compassion and outrage.

I do sometimes wonder if this world got hit by a giant asteroid it might not be such a bad thing.

Best wishes as always,

Brendan
