Doom Bar draught is brewed locally in Cornwall. Not a bad pint, but nowhere near Cornwall's best.

Since taken over by Coors, the bottled stuff is brewed in Burton-on-Trent and sold all over the country.

Our local in Pembs sells it too, the landlady says that it travels and keeps well (not much wastage) I don't mind it.

There’s a 5.3% bottled beer from the Doombar “stable” that I prefer. Can’t remember its name though Tesco sell it. It’s a bit more lively than regular Doombar.

Given the choice, I'd choose Atlantic. Of the Cornish beers, Tribute would beat the Sharps offerings.

Even better is the range produced by local Redruth brewery Keltek.

After years of mass produced rubbish its great that there is a choice of small artisan brewers producing great ales.
