Re: New Approach
2The Chairman in this case being an employee of the club's owner. I hope that doesn't give some of our lot any ideas...
Re: New Approach
3well whoever thought that getting rid of Pulis and replacing him with Pardew was a good idea needs sh*****g with a rag man's trumpet.

People seemed to think that Pardew would bring a more attractive style of football to West Brom.
They didn't seem to realise that Pulis's style was dictated by the poor standard of players at the club.
Re: New Approach
5Pulis' style was dictated by Pulis, as with every other team he's managed - and every side after him has the tricky task of trying to play a more attractive style of football as invariably demanded by the fans after a few years of mid-table nothingness with rigid systems and set-pieces, whilst utilising a set of players specifically recruited to play to the strengths of Pulis' systems. Not bad players, just players who've got used to being coached in a particular way to do certain things well that need to be deprogrammed a bit.Cornish Exile wrote:People seemed to think that Pardew would bring a more attractive style of football to West Brom.penycwm county wrote:well whoever thought that getting rid of Pulis and replacing him with Pardew was a good idea needs sh*****g with a rag man's trumpet.

Pardew having questionable merit as a manager to turn things around also hasn't helped them this season.
Re: New Approach
6Lets not forget that WBA finished in 10th spot under "boring" Pulis, makes me wonder what the fans are expecting.
Re: New Approach
7All post-Pulis clubs expect at least the same results with a completely different playing style. Doesn't really work like that.penycwm county wrote:Lets not forget that WBA finished in 10th spot under "boring" Pulis, makes me wonder what the fans are expecting.
