He is coming to the end of his career. If he does well we can always extend it. If he does so well that Manchester United nick him off us, then we'll just have to live with that.

Don't get too exited. Hayes has scored 4 goals in two starts but that is not typical of his career.For instance in 101 appearances for Wycombe he scored only 19 goals. I suggest that even big Frank could manage 19 goals in 2 and a half seasons.

I'm not knocking him, he is clearly a good player and looks worth retaining.

Good morning Brendan from the Oxford canal. Tommy Tynan for me is the second greatest attacking footballer I have seen in the lower two divisions. He was simply majestic. I have superb memories of seeing him play and 30 years later you can't ask for much more than that. He was the first to recognise that he didn't have pace. That was unfortunate. He would have been an international if he had pace. Other opinions are available.
