After today's results Accrington, Luton and Notts County cant get relegated.

For those still worried, we need 12 points to guarantee to not get relegated although I dont think any team has ever got relegated from L2 on 52 points

I remember Barnet went down with 51 one year but that was unlucky.

Since the FL introduced relegation of two teams from the 4th tier (since 2002/3), that is correct.

Bristol Rovers went down with 50 in 2013/14 and Barnet with 51 in 2012/13 though.

And Yes we were 11 points behind Leyton Orient
But the deficit we had to overcome was therefore 12 points not 11

I think we were 11 points behind thus needing twelve to overtake Hartlepool. I am willing to be corrected if wrong.

To move on. Teams at the top of the league tend to average over 1.6 points per game. At the bottom only 1 point per game. In terms our chances of making up 7 points on good teams over 10 games is roughly equivalent to making up twelve points on teams at the bottom.

This time last year I was convinced we would be relegated. I learn from my mistakes. Which is why I think making the play-offs is possible although not likely.

Cheltenham were in 22nd at that point so it was 11 points.

I think in reality, we'll be shown to have been safe from relegation following the Grimsby (a) game, at which point we collected our 42nd point.
Come the end of the season, I think survival will be possible on 40/41 pts.

Barnet are the first team that cant get promoted

With Grimsby losing today we cant get relegated

The most they can get now is 53 points

I think its 19 games now without a win for Grimsby. Next Saturday they play Chesterfield probably to decide the last relegation spot
