There always seems to be a lot of pessimism on this message board. Maybe Newport is just filled with moaners, but where we are now, mid table with a decent cup run behind us, really isn't that bad.

So maybe its time to take a different perspective

Grimsby could be heading back to non league after only 2 seasons back in the league. No promoted team has ever returned so quickly

Now that is something to moan about

It does appear that our season is petering out but its been a good season, not a great season but certainly far better than several others in our division.

Our squad is not far off where it needs to be to make a serious promotion challenge. Turn a few of our many home draws into wins and we would be in the play offs this season

We really don't have a lot to moan about this season
