Sarah has told me of the sad news of the passing of her dad Norman.A lifelong fan,Lifeline Committee member and one of the Monday night regulars checking tickets for the Letterbox Draw.Fans will remember him from our Spytty days selling crisps,cans and chocolates in front of the main stand.The funeral will be at Newport Cathedral (St Woolos) on Friday May 25 at 12 Noon.Burial will follow at 1pm at St Woolos Cemetery with refreshments in the Cathedral after the service.

That's sad to hear, used to buy snacks from Norman's stall when my sons first started coming to football.

Sad news. His tuck shop was one of the quirkier aspects of our time in non-league.

This message board is constantly slagged off but I have to say without it updates on people like Mr Bolt who played a part in the past of this club would not be forthcoming. I didn't know him personally but I remember buying stuff from the tuck shop and he was always pleasant to deal with.
