Putting the emotional aspect of it historically being home to Newport RFC, it begs the question, How can they have the same rights as us as tenants when you consider what we bring to the table in comparison?lowandhard wrote:Yes a lot of rain, and FGR abandoned and they’re on top of a hill! Downside today is rfc now playing subaqua rugby on it
There are probably those with Dragons, WRU and/or NRFC alliances who may well say 'think yourself lucky we are allowing you( county) to play at out rugby ground.Alan G Bryant wrote:Putting the emotional aspect of it historically being home to Newport RFC, it begs the question, How can they have the same rights as us as tenants when you consider what we bring to the table in comparison?lowandhard wrote:Yes a lot of rain, and FGR abandoned and they’re on top of a hill! They don't have anything like the same rights as us. It really is a disgrace that NRFC, once one of the WORLD'S greatest clubs, are 3rd class citizens in their own home.Alan G Bryant wrote:Putting the emotional aspect of it historically being home to Newport RFC, it begs the question, How can they have the same rights as us as tenants when you consider what we bring to the table in comparison?lowandhard wrote:Yes a lot of rain, and FGR abandoned and they’re on top of a hill! Was it professional rugby, the Dragons team or professional sport plays there? That could be a big point. What if NRFC went professional?Fourthousand wrote: ....allowed to play at RP so long as a professional rugby club plays there. That was one of the conditions that was in the vote - no emotion just fact.
