Flynn's press conference:
We were flat very flat, the players were tyred, we could not puncture the defence, the fans were deflated. Although it has been a GOODYEAR. !
Say it as it is we could not hit a barn door and we are fecking shite away.
Re: Grandstand - Northampton Away
47I agree with those who say it looked like we were trying to hang on towards the end which is bizarre considering Flynn is quoted as saying "Tuesday is a cup final now". Perhaps he was banking on winning on penalties after extra time?
Re: Grandstand - Northampton Away
48I was following the BBC live feed and it looked like we played a good game and we had a few chances.my friend who was at the game was gutted and said we played really well and didn't deserve to lose it. It was a big improvement on the rubbish I watched at Colchester on Saturday.

49Flynn says that we were very good yet their keeper didnt have a real save to make during the whole of the 90 mins.
Having watched the game I thought the better team won and that MF hadn’t got the tactical nous to effect the outcome. Three substitutes with only 2 minutes to go, what is all that about when it was obvious that there were a few players who should have been replaced much earlier.
Three questions, are we obliged to play Bakinson, what has Sheehan got to do to get a game and does Croft’s exist?

50I thought we played well. No shots on target but we could / should have scored 2/3 goals with the chances we had.
Agree subs should have been made earlier but I guess he was happy to see out the game with a point.
Hopefully we can get back to winning ways against Cheltenham on Friday.

51Crofts does exist - he was watching the game v Colchester in the stand with the Newport fans.

Doesnt he still live that side of the Country? Probably going home to see the family straight after the game so no surprise him being there.
How long is out injured for this time ?
What's his latest injury ?
Will he ever play for us again ?
Re: Grandstand - Northampton Away
53Before the game itself, in terms of points collected per game, we were only 3 points a season better than Northampton. They were perfectly entitled to win that football match, especially since they were home. On paper, it was one of the hardest games to call, but our away form during Mike Flynn's entire tenure is now becoming a worry.
