A red card each!

Finished 1-1, great result really... now who got sent off and for what? Final whistle seemed to come pretty quickly after the two cards, suspect the ref decided enough was enough.

Red cards in a friendly ....... tut tut. Don't suppose it has any repercussions. My main concern is everyone avoiding injury.

I know it was just a friendly but I think this is a good result. I genuinely thought that we would get stuffed tonight and get the season off to a poor start. I suppose it all depended upon how many proper first teamers they put out. If they put out their first team then we have done very well indeed.

I was watching the live updates on Bet365, with text comments like "dangerous attack" and the location of the ball and passes etc. There was a fairly lengthy looking County injury during the second half too.

Also had Flashscore sending notifications, and got the goals and red cards almost live on my watch. Betfair and Bet365 were taking bets on the result...

Did a Google for Ah Ahly's tv channel in Arabic at one point, but only turned up hoax streaming sites.

Doubtless the ref was a disgrace,biased and out of his depth and should be reported to FIFA

Solid display against good opposition. Good defensively but didn’t create much. Tried to play on the ground a lot especially as Robbie played CM in the 2nd half. Didn’t really suit Jamma and it looks as if we’ll miss Dan’s crossing. Collins taken off with ankle injury 1st half. Looked in a lot of pain & he left on crutches. No sign of feeling until the last 10 minutes. Nurse went in for a challenge, which looked innocuous, but their player took offence. Mickey then went right through the same player & got a yellow. Leadbitter then made a 2-footed tackle on another player who swung at him. So both red cards. Ref ended the match pretty much straight after. Good workout. Impressed with Tom King & Lazar.

First run out, intergrating new players and a few youngsters in that heat, all in all a decent performance against a good team.
