Considering we’ve lost 2 of our best players, this window has been brilliant. A few midfielders on loan and we’ll be in for a decent shout

For me it all depends on how quick the goalkeepers settle in and what impact they have.

I agree. Joe was a fantastic shot stopper and gained us points throughout last season. If King or Townsend can replicate that then I can see us having a successful season. Also depends on if Mickey D signs on (which looks probable). Keeping him and OB was crucial.

I've created a basic depth chart to get a feel for the squad. I've assumed the positions of the new guys and that Flynny will stick with 3-5-2 mainly. I know he likes 4-3-3 but the amount of centre backs we have make me think he will mainly go with a back three.



I'd assume Collins will go on loan somewhere and possibly Touray (I'd like to see him stay)

We still seem to be very short in midfield. We can't rely on labs being fit every week.

EDIT - 4-3-3 actually looks more likely now I think of it. Only problem is Amond and Matt both play better centrally and I can't see either being dropped.

I think we will let one go out ( transfer) , two out on loan and bring in three more loan players in before the season starts

KMB = transfer
Touray out on loan to a Conference South/North side
Collins out to a side one level below....( Weston , Chippenham , Bath or someone like that standard )

Touray should reject a loan to conf north/south. It would be a backwards step from last season.

Last time I looked Chippenham and Bath were in the National League (Conference) South

Anybody know anything about Scot Bennett this season? He doesn't seem to have featured in any of the friendlies so far.

Scot Bennett had an operation on his shoulder during the close season. He has been involved in pre-season training with the exception of the contact side of things and is nearing full fitness.
