If it was Gallagher, he was last season's.Academy Player of the Year. Last season they let several out on loan after the first FLT group game, but the kids are seen as more likely to get a first-team chance now because of the transfer embargo.

I would think it will be a strong squad.Maybe a trailists if he is very close to being signed.Also a Bristol,Swansea or Cardiff probable/ possible loan signing may be there.

It would surprise me if we did. While it has always seemed a good idea to me that we should play our starting XI at some point during our last pre-season match, I don't remember us ever doing so under any manager at any level. Glad to see i'm not the only one that finds that odd.

I think I can remember final friendlies where a player who misses the first league game through suspension is left out, but I can't cite chapter and verse.

Having witnessed the shambles v Chelsea U23's I wouldn't have thought any of the trialists on show would have enhanced their chances of securing a deal. Nor many of the Academy boys that played.

Gus says RB trailist is close to signing,I thought Marvel was Leadbitters rival.How many defenders do we need,it's midfield where we are light.
