West Ham attendance
1Wonder what the attendance will be for West Ham? Tuesday or Wednesday night against effectively West Ham reserves. Also the league cup doesn’t have the same appeal as the FA Cup. I’d say about 4500 including away following.

2I would hope we'd have more than 4500 for a game against a team who finished 10th in the Premier League last season and a team with a great history. We got almost 4500 in our opening league game against Mansfield. OK West Ham will make a lot of changes, but I think we'll get about 6000.

3I think we could sell out loads of local plastic hammers and I know a few regular ST holders

4Like to think we'll get a decent crowd, maybe six thousand. Who knows, this might be our 'big game' this season. The FA Cup has been kind to us for a couple of years. This year we could crash out in Round One, or get through to the third round and get Morecambe away.

Tbh it doesn't matter what side West Ham put out, the appeal for attending the game is seeing a possible cup upset. And the attendance should be reasonable purely on that possibility...

7I get your point and when was the last time we could say that? It bodes well for this season. However, with 9 changes for Gillingham and doing very well, it suggests we almost have a B team waiting in the wings. 8Reading up on their squad, it's much stronger than last season's. It's a pretty inexact comparison but I would say the fringe players they might use look much better on paper than the Leicester team we beat.
Will they risk players who cost 60 or 40 million against a League Two team?

Man City and Spurs put out a strong side. Leicester didn't.

11The gate against West Ham will also reflect how we are doing in the league. Some good results between now and then will bring in more fringe followers, who might not bother if we've been doing poorly.

12They won't play their first team, and a team full of overseas fringe players will unlikely be prepared for what we have to offer. I'd say the game will be close, we'll probably lose by a goal or two, but you wouldn't be massively surprised if we caused yet another upset.

13Spurs put out a strong side and any side put out by Man City would be strong. As for Leicester I thought their side was reasonably strong considering they haven't the strength in depth of Spurs and Man City.Stan A. Leicester did. They had 5 Premier League winners and many multi million pound players in the starting line up.
Granted the starting team had ‘only’ 4 of the previous games starting XI but that team SHOULD still have had enough to turn us over.
