Re: Townsend
2A great game the other night but saw him at Middlesbrough last season and wasn't impressed.
Re: Townsend
4I have seen the first three games and for me he just edges in over King especially after Tuesday's night fantastic performance. He made two great saves in the normal game besides the penalty saves and he comes out and punches crosses away.
Re: Townsend
5I did say preseason that if Townsend wasn't injured then Flynny would have had a tough call on who starts. His performance now makes it even tougher for MF,but as King got to start,my gut feeling is he will stick with King.Great to have two keepers keeping each other on their toes,King said that before Mansfield, and he's got that now for sure.
Re: Townsend
6I’d like to think that even if we strengthen the starting 11 for West Ham that Townsend has earned his chance to face them.
Re: Townsend
11Here's the problem.
You can make an argument for either. Whoever is picked is going to really get it in the neck if he has a poor game.
Pressure?

13It looks like you do need to be on Twitter to vote - I tried and it wouldn't let me without registering. That last save is one of the best penalty saves I have ever seen.

14Same here! Let’s hope he’s better than our one game summation.Coxy wrote:A great game the other night but saw him at Middlesbrough last season and wasn't impressed.
Re: Townsend
15Good response from King today - two goalkeepers pushing each other and defence playing well - bodes well.
