Hi Neil, I wasn't getting at our manager when I wrote this opening post, but myself NOt being an expert on football tactics,I wrote it because I wondered if the players had to stick to earlier decisions on how to handle the opposition or could they use their initative and "slightly change shape" to counter their opponents---in my old sport of Boxing I thought it best to learn how to think what you are doing not just carry on ---it was less painful, even if it didn't always work !!! I think Mr Flynn is doing OK
