So sad to see how quickly the greatest team in Newport County's post-war history disbanded after so nearly gaining promotion to the 2nd tier of the football league in 1982/83. Just over a year later all that were left it seems were John Relish (playing on the left wing) and Mark Kendall (who a few seasons earlier wanted to leave to play at a higher level).

5Thanks Glyn - really enjoyed that. Neville Chamberlain looked really handy. I remember them training at Uskmouth power station which is part of the footage as my old man used to work there.
I was at the Everton game with my dad as an 11 year old - I remember County scoring first. It was also at this game I bought my scarf which I still wear to games now.
