There's a part of me that enjoys Dom's brazen Teflon manner. He's come up with a ridiculous story that no one, despite their best efforts, has yet completely dismantled.

Will he have the last laugh?

What's this thing people have with sending death threats? Three bishops have all criticised Dom's conduct during lockdown and have been sent threatening messages. What kind of nutter does this?

As someone who went self-employed in January, and therefore qualified for no government help of any substance, I've had to continue working for much of the "lockdown".

I'm looking forward to the next time I'm pulled over and asked why I'm not at home. Testing my eyesight is probably what I'll go with before telling them the real reason.

His difficulty, and that of the mini-me blond buffoon, is that they are being laughed at. Not just by people like me, who can hardly said to be politically neutral, but by those who don't normally pay much heed to politics. As any brief will tell you, in a court case you can recover from virtually any set back other than being laughed at.
