I haven’t a sky account. Today on Ladbrokes I “won” five three spins on a slot machine. I won’t bother with that, absolutely no fun in pressing a computer button to see random wheels spin round. At least a free bet gives one some input into the situation!

Totally up to you Phil but that's how I get free money for bets as I said yesterday won 37p on spins put that on bets

I think you have a gambling problem and you need help. And until you admit that you have that problem you will never beat it. So tell your Wife that you need help or someone you trust that will help you.

I agree. Just admit it and get help with your addiction to using free bets UTP !! I'm here for you should you need me

These free bets are a pain in the ar””. I had a ‘free’ £5 bonus bet from Betfair yesterday that had to have been put on the 1.50 at Sandown. Big race apparently. When I investigated it looked like I had to put £5 on and then Betfair would give me my bonus. I picked a horse, followed the steps but as I hadn’t put £5 on a horse since Cheltenham I didn’t press the confirm button. I knew nothing about the race anyway.

Bloody horse won at 14/5. Lost £14 quid there or even £28 if I had to put my own bet on. Doh

Hello, my name is Mark, I'm a compulsive gambler, I gave not had a bet since the last meeting, my last bet was 5 Sep 2017. That's what I say every week at my GA meeting, its on line at the moment because of lockdown. Now I don't have a issue with other people gambling its their decision, its not their fault I have this illness, what I do have I issue with is people making a joke about gambling and those encouraging others to gamble.
If others have a problem gambling maybe we can have a pint when we are allowed back into RP.

Thanks

You have my utmost respect and what a good post. You have great strength and commitment.
You and yours can hold your head high
I am sure people don't wish to cause offence when making light of the issue
On a similar note how do you feel about scratchcards at checkouts in supermarket/convenience stores et Al?
No gamble aware signs anywhere near them.... I'm totally against them at such store locations
