Footballs shameful behaviour

1
This is not specifically County related but applies to football in general.
What sort of message does it send to the millions of people obeying Covid rules when top flight footballers are openly breaking the rules and feel safe enough to post images on social media. Are these well paid idiots above the law.
Why are the organisers of these parties not facing a £10k fine? Why no fixed penalty notices for attendees? Why are the clubs not imposing fines.
Of course such fines are about as financially putative to footballers as me buying a packet of biscuits from Aldi.
And what are the faceless people supposedly governing our great game doing about it. Nothing.
Just a suggestion. Why don't the FA give all these so called role models a six game ban for bringing the game into disrepute. At least that might encourage the clubs to do something about it.
Rant over!!!

It's certainly a terrible example to set. Unfortunately the system of match bans is pre-detemined and pre-Covid. It would be helpful if clubs did not hide behind the cloak of 'we'll deal with it internally', and they certainly should not have included those players in the first available match day team/squad.

A totally justifiable rant and the FA should stand up and be counted.
These football players are on the same plane as the pig ignorant idiots who had to be rescued after getting stuck in the snow after sightseeing Snowdon and Chester way

Agree the rant is totally justifiable.

However these brainless b@stards are worse. Premier League footballers live in big houses and can afford the nice things in life. For those people living in cramped houses and flats and with little money the lockdown is really hard. Much harder than for these 'entitled buffoons'. Fines won't bother them. 100 hours community service clearing up dog sh!t might. I know which one I'd choose for them.
