VAR

After all the Controversy of the use of it wasn't it refreshing to see it being used last night to correct a wrong decision in the Arsenal, Newcastle game.
A Newcastle player went down after a 'tackle' screaming as though he had been shot by a sniper or injured so bad he would be confined to a wheelchair for the rest of his life. After watching the replays it showed he had hardly been touched by the Arsenal player. The ref had to rescind the red card he gave and downgraded it to a yellow
The game summariser said he thought the ref gave a straight red because he thought it was worse than it turned out to be because of the scream the player made..

The screaming is getting as bad as diving. You notice it so much in the empty stadiums. You’d think the referees should be trained to ignore it but it does influence them. You daren’t make a tackle in front of the dugout if Steve Evans is in it - they’ll all go up like a Mexican wave screaming for a red card!
