A couple of potential problems in moving to another ground are:-
1. Are these grounds up to EFL standards?
2. Some of the the lesser venues might not be suitable for COVID isolation/protocols that are in place at RP.
3. As part of the EFL, Sky TV would be requiring permanent TV camera facilities such as at RP.
Admittedly no crowds would not be a problem, and CCFC obviously meet the above criteria (but would they want to subject their facilities to greater potential COVID exposure by having an extra 2 sets of teams there)?
Re: Temporary solutions for the pitch
17Perhaps that`s just the incentive the squad needs, all jokes aside that would not be a bad thing as the surface would be kept fit for purpose.faerun exile wrote:Bristol City women play there.flat4 wrote:Not sure if Twerton Park meets EFL standards now, but would be available as no football is being played there for the rest of the season.
Re: Temporary solutions for the pitch
18If we have to play our matches at RP then we should insist that we are allowed to train there for say an hour twice a week as well. We can hardly make it much worse and we could at least become accustomed to playing on it in its current state.

19Yes but we don't want to mess it up for the rugbyAmberexile wrote:If we have to play our matches at RP then we should insist that we are allowed to train there for say an hour twice a week as well. Re: Temporary solutions for the pitch
21To get right back to basics, is our postponement record actually worse than every other team in the EFL?

22To get right back to basics is Stalin's record on human right's any worse than that of Mussolini?George Street-Bridge wrote:To get right back to basics, is our postponement record actually worse than every other team in the EFL?
When your only argument is that others may be worse, it really is time to stop offering sycophantic support and face up to reality.

Don't think that's the main issue, It's the condition of the pitch when it is not postponed is the greater problem to me.
Re: Temporary solutions for the pitch
24Absolutely it's a problem if we have a shite pitch which hampers our best players. But that's a different issue from the idea we should take our games elsewhere.

Re: Temporary solutions for the pitch
26Let’s be fair, it isn’t. Absolutely crass decision to have allowed Cardiff to use it, hopefully from the money gained the Dragons will cover any fines that may come our way.OLDCROMWELLIAN wrote:I'm wondering if the EFL may say the pitch is not fit for purpose?George Street-Bridge wrote:Absolutely it's a problem if we have a shite pitch which hampers our best players.
