Don't get me wrong. I doubt there is a single player or manager in football that has anything other than himself at the forefront of their thinking, and loyalty counts for diddly squat, when the chance to line ones own pockets is on offer.County ranger wrote: The misconception is Flynn bleeds amber, his lifestyle and application cut short his league career his legs went at a young age, so he milked a lucrative contract out of us, and now he is by rumour one of the best paid L2 managers, both the club and he have done well out of it to date but don’t mix loyalty with finding a golden goose at careers end.
No one it appears has squashed the rumour that Flynn was ready to pack his bags for Lincoln when that became available, which proves my point above.
Sadly it is extremely rare that a manager leaves on good terms but then that is the nature of the industry. This means he will leave for another club (currently unlikely!) or he will be sacked, neither of which leaves a good taste, or perhaps he will put his hands up and leave on good terms with everyone..... ok stop laughing!
