Re: News regarding ex County players
1293Mifielder / Forward Ben Kennedy, who had a short spell with County on loan from Stevenage last season, has signed a three year contract with Northern Ireland Premiership club Crusaders.
I seem to recall County facing Crusaders during their 1980 / 81 European Cup winners Cup eventually reaching the 1/4 finals winning 4-0 agg.

Imagine if he makes it there, bit of a show up for Flynny & Co.

1297Ryan Innis came on as a late sub for Palace v 'my other team' Oxford today, shored up the defence and helped Palace retain their 2-1 lead.
Absolutely fantastic of Palace to show the game, live on their TV channel, free to all fans.

1298Doubt he'll get game time for them. Has all the physical attributes of a centre half but that's not enough. First touch and discipline let him down for us.DeePeeNCAFC wrote:Ryan Innis came on as a late sub for Palace v 'my other team' Oxford today, shored up the defence and helped Palace retain their 2-1 lead.

1299Why Frank they have a 100% record of weeding out the ones who won’t make it - if they listened to you with your love in with Dom, Jay, Kieran, etc we would have a team of Southern League players. Name one youngster released who has gone on to do anything at a full time level.Frank Nouble 3 wrote:That's interesting.DT1892 wrote:Mo Touray on the bench for Salford in their friendly today.

1300Ranger all of the players you mentioned showed promise when playing a couple of games for us. Yes they have dropped down the league where it is harder to be spotted. Picking players from lower leagues is a no go for a lot of clubs, and some that do are not very good at it, are you seriously trying to say Dom, Jay, Kieron and Momo are not as good as Lasar, Whitely, Marvel and ReynoldsCounty ranger wrote:Why Frank they have a 100% record of weeding out the ones who won’t make it - if they listened to you with your love in with Dom, Jay, Kieran, etc we would have a team of Southern League players. I think the truth is we are scared to give youth a chance and instead rely on an agency who promise us quality then send us their dregs

Are Labadie, Amond, Willmott and Abrahams dregs?
Re: News regarding ex County players
1302I agree with Frank on this one, other clubs bring on their youth academy players, Crewe for example have almost a full team. We need to play them for a sustainable period eg 10 games or more, not 5 mins here and there. I keep banging on about Jay and Keiran at Chippenham, especially Keiran he has really beefed up and wouldn't cost a lot in wages, Jay would have been excellent cover for Haynes.
Re: News regarding ex County players
1303I didn't say they were, but the others I mentioned are not up to standard. Do you think a club our size should be paying 50 grand in fees plus 2 years wages for players that hardly kicked a ball for us and had to go out on loan.NearlyDead wrote:amberbhoy wrote: ...rely on an agency who promise us quality then send us their dregs
