Conor Washington

Postby BertieB » June 12th, 2019, 3:06 pm

It was nice to read that Conor Washigton scored for Northern Ireland in the Euro 2020 qualifying group win over Estonia to make Northern Irelands third win.....I think according to the paper, he also shot what was deflected by Magennis for the other goal for his countries win. Well done Conor Washington !!!...………..Bob Bassett

I think he was released at the end of the season and Ipswich are keen to sign him.

Singly, the most frustrating, unproductive player I have ever seen in a Rangers shirt. Absolute shite.
He has got less prolific as his career has gone on. I had to watch his garbage wondering when the hell he would find the net with regularity. He never did. Believe me when I say, as a dual Newport County / QPR fan, seeing him in a QPR shirt was one of my proudest things, I did so badly want him to be a success, but he was anything but. We were glad to see the back of him, God forgive me for saying such words about a popular Exiles player!
When he went to Sheffield Utd, he achieved absolutely nothing, exactly as I predicted on here.
Nice fella I'm sure, just not the player people imagine him to be.

I've never rated him. He did well at Peterborough but he just doesn't get you goals. Not sure how he's playing international football.

Firstly we couldn't afford him and secondly he's no better than what we already have. Imho of course.

A combination of Conor’s pace and Podge’s eye for goal, in one player, would be something to see.

I’d have Washington back here as pace at our level keeps opposition defenders occupied. I’d just hope that any one-on-ones fell to Amond.

He'd be too expensive for a substitute.
