6More like virtually impossible let’s hope we can keep him for the season at least but he’s a target now, this won’t be the last time.UppaPort wrote:Fantastic news. It’s hard to find loyalty in the game today.

8Yes, that sounds more like it!lowandhard wrote:More like virtually impossible let’s hope we can keep him for the season at least but he’s a target now, this won’t be the last time.UppaPort wrote:Fantastic news. It’s hard to find loyalty in the game today.
Re: Flynn Staying - Offical
9It appears that Lincoln have shown an interest in three serving managers. Newport, Wycombe and Exeter. All three seem to have refused their advances and or were found wanting by Lincoln. Lincoln have also had their management team poached. Not been a great week for Lincoln has it?SJG99 wrote:For the record he's STILL odds on at 5/6.
Re: Flynn Staying - Offical
10So Lincoln appoint a manager from a L1 or 2 club, then Flynny becomes a target again and it all starts again.
Re: Flynn Staying - Offical
11Given a choice between being managed by someone who is good enough at the job to be coveted by other clubs, or someone who isn't, I'd take the former.
Re: Flynn Staying - Offical
12Managers a like politicians, they say one thing then do another when it suits.Ainsworth was interviewed by Lincoln so was obviously interested, until they offered below his expectations. He now says how wonderful Wycombe are and how he is excited to take the club further.Flynny had interview so was interested, again not the right deal so now he will say,he is a Newport boy and loves Newport and is here to take the club further. Then a manager gets the sack or moves on,then, here we go again.

13How else would Costas make a profit? That’s why we need a succession plan and a bit of relaxation therapy.Percy plunkett wrote:So Lincoln appoint a manager from a L1 or 2 club, then Flynny becomes a target again and it all starts again.
Re: Flynn Staying - Offical
14I too applaud loyalty but let's not kid ourselves here. If the renumeration package and investment in the team had been what Mr Flynn had been expecting there would have been a dust trail from here to Lincoln.UppaPort wrote:Fantastic news. It’s hard to find loyalty in the game today.
Flynny has a family to support and you cannot blame him for trying to provide the best he can. He will get the right package for himself one day so we need to make the most of the time he is with the Port.

15They obviously didn't have an adequate succession plan in place , Bren !Stan A. Einstein wrote:It appears that Lincoln have shown an interest in three serving managers. Newport, Wycombe and Exeter.
