Amazingly it's less than 200 years ago that medical science first discovered that washing your hands prevents the transmission of bacteria and viruses from one person to another. However in the 3rd book of the Bible (Leviticus), written 3000 years ago, hygiene laws were given to the Jews including washing your hands under running water, washing your clothes and putting people in quarantine for 7 or 14 days. Amazing!

No hand shakes between players before game due to virus.I have never thought this was needed anyway, they all shake hands then kick someone on the shin first minute.A pointless PR gesture that should be kicked into touch perminantly.

Although not a subject to be laughed at, I was amused to hear on the radio that a supermarket was selling a brand of bottled beer for half price because no-one was buying it. Apparently the brand name is CORONA.

Only 1,800 @ the Dragons last night. That must be the lowest ever attendance at a Dragons match. I'm afraid that the virus effect will carry on into this afternoon's attendance.

Remember it well, with it's distinct bubbly tapered neck and money off for the returned empty bottles.

Italy has now quarantined the whole of northern Italy. That is 16 million people. Shows how daft it was to play that rugby match.

Don’t really understand that one. I read it on the news. However, planes are still landing and taking off in the region. Some quarantine?!!

The Italians are reacting to more than 1000 new cases being confirmed on Saturday. The president signed the decree on Sunday morning so it is still work in progress. But the declared intention is to isolate northern Italy with only essential workers moving around. This will be a huge blow to the Italian economy.
