Anyone with a Wikipedia account should log on and contest the following articles for deletion:

• 1989-90
• 2008-09

I have read both articles but don’t have a wiki account. What I don’t understand is that some posters have asked for the articles to be deleted. I don’t get that. Why? Is it a storage issue? Surely wiki has enough storage space. Why would you want information deleted?

Wiki is used as a Library database by many. May be wrong but I haven’t heard of any large libraries throwing books away. Strange one this.

Despite having read Wikipedia's deletion policy I can't put my finger on which deletion reason is applicable for these pages.

I couldn't log in. The captcha thing was difficult but coming up with a user name not already in use simply defeated me.

Their reasoning is that the seasons in question did not involve a professional league. As with most things Wikipedia, the rules are arbitrary and there are many exceptions. AFC Wimbledon have a complete set of season articles, despite half of them being non-league. I think we are probably one of the few clubs on Wikipedia to have a full set, and I'd like to keep it that way!

Wikipedia is a shower of shite anyway. If anyone looks on there for facts and information then more fool them.

I completely agree, but when people have spent time and effort to promote their team and then some jobsworth deems it worthy of nothing more than deletion...
