Re: Euros thread
3Is it Switzerland we play first? Every time I see us I think "I recognise Bale and Allen but who are the rest of these players?".
Re: Euros thread
4I think we have the bones of a good team myself. We have the youngest squad in the whole tournament though. Might be 2/4 years too early for this group, but I'm quietly confident we'll get out of the group.JonD wrote:Is it Switzerland we play first? Re: Euros thread
5We're actually the third youngest, behind Turkey and England.
Although, ours is a very inexperienced squad at club level in comparison.

Re: Euros thread
6Out of the three group games tomorrows is possibly the easiest. Wales should try and start the same way as they did five years ago and go for the win, which means starting with Moore.
I fancy Portugal to win but think Wales potentially can get to the quarter finals...

Re: Euros thread
7If Italy can give Turkey a right stuffing tonight it'll make Wales' chances of qualifying a lot easier
Re: Euros thread
8Just like Christmas, Turkey well and truly stuffed. Cmon Wales.Blackandamber wrote:If Italy can give Turkey a right stuffing tonight it'll make Wales' chances of qualifying a lot easier
Re: Euros thread
9I can't work out whether Italy were excellent or Turkey were utterly inept. Probably a bit of both. Turkey's gameplan seemed to be get massed ranks of players in defensive areas but not actually closely mark any Italian players and allow them to receive the ball in acres of space. Once the first goal went in it was game over as they had posed no attacking threat whatsoever.
Re: Euros thread
11Not a good start, only Allen and Bale singing in the right key for the National Anthem.Hope they are not as flat playing as their singing.
Re: Euros thread
13Not dreadful, just not good. A better second half hopefully.excessbee wrote:At the moment, Wales are absolutely dreadful.
Re: Euros thread
14They need to make Switzerland do some defending. At the moment, they are doing their defending for them by giving the ball away too easily.
