Flynn’s professionalism and man management stoops to new lows - he looks totally disinterested- he is robbing a living of us as he did when he came back as a player.Amberexile wrote:Flynn post match interview -

so why did at least 2 of them get 90 minutes tonight?
Re: Exiles Grandstand, home v Northampton Town
32Telford was widely regarded as crap last year. Now he's seemingly the messiah. A remarkable improvement. I wonder what his secret is.
Re: Exiles Grandstand, home v Northampton Town
33Hate to put the boot in but it's not fair given the level of expectations on Livermore to saddle him with Cain alongside, who looks nowhere near L2 standard. We can't have Liverpool picking our team.

7 games in 3 games to go before the jury (BOD) have to make a decision on there next move.
We can only hope so.
Re: Exiles Grandstand, home v Northampton Town
36After seven matches there doesn't seem to be a preferred starting eleven. Obviously illness and injuries haven't helped but indivially the players have been inconsistent. There was a total lack of confidence in last night's display. Hitting long balls is not an answer if we have Abraham and Collins up front and an invisible midfield forced the defence to turn backwards time and time again. I can understand playing Cain last night because Cooper was not great at Harrogate, but it didn't have the desired result. Totally disjointed display and far too many 'nearly moments' in the second half when, in all honesty, Northampton were very poor.
Re: Exiles Grandstand, home v Northampton Town
37Why are we playing balls back to Day all the time his distribution isn't good and it puts us under pressure just get it up field
Re: Exiles Grandstand, home v Northampton Town
38Looks to me as if the defence get to the halfway line and find there is no creative movement ahead of them.UPTHEPORT wrote:Why are we playing balls back to Day all the time his distribution isn't good and it puts us under pressure just get it up field
Re: Exiles Grandstand, home v Northampton Town
39His constant blaming of everything around him is getting very boring now ….. didn’t some people predict hed be gone by end of September ??
Re: Exiles Grandstand, home v Northampton Town
40Early days yet, but my view is that we have too many players at our disposal. Nobody has a clue what the best 11 is, the manager included, and I just can't see how it's good for morale having so many not involved every week.
Trying to regenerate a team after losing key players is pretty difficult, but even more so when it's being chopped and changed every match.
Pick an 11 and stick with it for a while, as far as is possible at least.

41Livermore looks a real talent but I hope he's not being to cocky sometimes against league 2 players he's going to make himself a target
Thought his yellow was harsh from where I was looked a decent tackle

Re: Exiles Grandstand, home v Northampton Town
42We badly missed Upson last night. He has been the most consistent performer and we play through him. Expecting Livermore to be the linking player was never going to work.
Re: Exiles Grandstand, home v Northampton Town
43Abrahams looks just the build and has the speed to be an excellent player. However...I have never seen a worst performance from a county forward. Cannot remember a single positive contribution the whole 90 mins.
Re: Exiles Grandstand, home v Northampton Town
44I personally would have Collins out wide right and allow Haynes to have license on the left without willmott in front of him. Best part of the whole game for me was farquharson (the county playmaker) turning their centre back and unfortunately firing over the bar.
Re: Exiles Grandstand, home v Northampton Town
45Quite simply an awful performance by Gwent County standards, let alone League 2.
Flynny looked completely disinterested.
I think what I was told a couple of months back could be right and he will be off before the end of September.
