Anyone else been watching
To me it's no better than T20
But I'm more of a traditionalist prefer county championship and test cricket
Welsh fire start tomorrow come on the Fire!!
Re: The hundred
2Interesting Jim. Just about to watch the second half of London v Birmingham in tonight’s game. Kevin Peterson was just saying that it’s different to T20 in that for that game there is a script (bash it about) but for the Hundred no script is written yet.
Looking forward to the Fire game. Why aren’t they called the Dragons though?

3Hi Mike think it's because of the region which also includes Somerset and Gloucestershire
But then they pick Welsh imo they should have gone with Western worriers or something similar to give the whole region an interest

4Tuned in to watch the 1st night. The theme music was a god awful rap ‘song’. That was enough for me. Turned over straight away.

Re: The hundred
9I'm thoroughly enjoying it. Lots of close games that could go either way helps.
An added bonus is that one of my daughters, age 26 who has never shown the slightest interest in cricket, is watching with me.
She's picking up the rules quicker than me - new batsman must face straight away, a 'set' of balls is 5 but bowling a straight 10 is possible too and more.
How much will 'the Fire' miss Jonny Bairstow, now off on England test duty?

10Why is the team called Welsh Fire when none of the players are Welsh? Also I didn't recognise any of the players names apart from Bairstow who has now departed. I thought that Glamorgan's Lloyd was supposed to be playing for Welsh Fire.
