Companies House have just posted that a company called Renaissance Asset Finance have registered a charge and entered into an agreement with Newport Association Football Club Ltd. Looks like a hire purchase agreement but just surprised me as I haven’t seen any similar loans taken out until now.
Loan agreement is at https://find-and-update.company-informa ... ng-history
Re: Renaissance Asset Finance
3Sounds to me like the club has done a deal with a vehicle leasing company, possibly to provide club cars for our manager, DoF etc. These things are quite common in professional football and will involve the leading company holding a charge over our assets (have we got any?) in the event of non-payment.

4Still the name it started with at incorporation in 1989excessbee wrote: July 21st, 2022, 3:05 pm Strangely not with Newport COUNTY Association Football Club.
Not suggesting there is anything untoward by the way - just interested me given we’ve not had any registered charges against the club since incorporation, except for one in 2009 which was a debenture with HSBC

5That company does not exist. I remember a few years ago there was an AGM I think and they were going to change the name of the company. It was approved but never happenedexcessbee wrote: July 21st, 2022, 3:05 pm Strangely not with Newport COUNTY Association Football Club.
