Snooker

Just seen there's an issue with a trans man now playing on the women's snooker tour

First off I'd have thought snooker and darts women could compete equally so why is there a woman's tour

I can understand women complaining when a person born at birth is a man competing in something athletic

Interesting.

I tend to agree with you - there are some sports which could easily be mixed events: sports like snooker, darts, table tennis etc don’t necessarily rely on the traditional muscle build-up or stamina in the same way that rugby, football, athletics and cycling do.

I’d welcome the day when men, women plus those transitioning can compete equally in some sports.

Good question. Although I do note that women have always seemed to have competed on a equal footing in dressage and showjumping where less physical strength is required than horse racing, wherein it has only been in recent years that women have excelled. Physical training programmes have undoubtably improved for female jockeys of late.

Doesn't show jumping take the same physical effort as horse racing

As I've said I've never ridden a horse so wouldn't know

No expert myself either, but believe show jumping requires less physical endurance than racing and of course a lighter weight is a major advantage balancing out the need for some physical effort by the rider when jumping the high fences in showjumping.
