Bangitinthenet seems to defend the club to the hilt while others are quite genuinely concerned over dearth of information.
I would of expected a fair few announcements from the new man Pratt by now, but we’ve heard nothing from him.
When I was in work and I suspect like a lot of others on here, when the company had a new director we were inundated with his/her concepts for the future but with The County nothing.
All very amateurish if you ask me, more reminiscent of your local parks side.
As I mentioned in another thread quite some time ago, enough of these Sub Rosa activities and it’s about time the board came clean and unsheathed the sword of truth from the scabbard of secrecy.

The words "when I was in work" stand out for me.

I have two daughters, one 25 and the other 29.
For kids today getting a decent job is much harder than in our day. There are fewer good jobs for a start, with more low hours contracts, and agency work. The competition for jobs is also higher qualified than ever or sometimes more experienced.

My eldest took the qualification route, then toured Aisa, and was working during covid for various call centres from various empty backpackers hostels across Australia, and then when New Zealand opened the route from only Australia, she did the same in New Zealand. She is now in Manchester working, but in September will start a masters degree to get the job that she is actually seeking.
My other daughter took the experience route, and has been working from home with one or two days a month in the office. She is also studying part time for a qualification in the area that she works. So in my experience young people need both qualifications and experience to get good jobs today.

How does this relate to NCAFC? Well County are already a regulated business, regulated by the FA. County will be regulated by the Government soon. Working for a regulated business is good for a CV.
Pay and long contracts are less useful for people who use the job as an experience stepping stone on to a better job.
You don't have to be a financial wizard to understand that County cannot offer long contracts, as we can't forecast what our income is going to be in 2 years time, let alone 5 or 10 years.
However what we can offer is experience in a job that will be better paid elsewhere.

During the BBC commentary on the Wimbledon game Rob Philips made a remark on the current lack of leadership within the Club, and the possible impact it was having on contract negotiations for any players that GC may wish to retain.

So when you look at all the ‘leaks’, if they prove to be true then it is an indication that behind the scenes there are significant issues. Do they represent serious problems, apart from Bangit, who the hell knows?
So far:-
1) The Chairman is believed to have been suspended from duties.
2) A General Manager on long term absence
3) Allegations that Kevin Ward has resigned
4) Allegations that the Media Manager has been sacked, or perhaps just left to better themselves.
5) Given the apparent mess it is surprising that so far there does not appear to have been a meeting in Feb, what about March?
6) There are rumours about financial issues, hopefully wide of the mark, however-
7) Accounts for 2022 are still awaited, and even when published these will be 12 months behind reality. Normally you would expect good news to be filed early, not close to the wire. Exeter filed their accounts for 2022 last October.
- Many have mentioned about ‘early bird’ season ticket sales, but with neither any leadership or meetings apparently being held, how would such an executive decision ever be made? Taking that a stage further, how is GC expected to know his financial boundaries in renegotiating terms with players? Continuing uncertainty could lead to key players seeking more certain and secure opportunities elsewhere.

While Rodney burns the remaining Directors lock themselves away and the Trust fails to communicate. What GC and his staff are making of all this we can only imagine, but I suspect Rob is right in that it is undoubtedly hindering the actions of our Manager.

"Apart from Bangitintrnet, who the hell knows" .

I don't know any more than anyone else, however what I am not is a person that is constantly seeking problems and conspiracy theories. For such people, absolutely everything is something that a troll will gorge upon.

Just further up, I have been linked to the club going bust again, simply because of my lack of constantly believing in the troll feed posted on here.

Let's be absolutely clear, what ever happens to Newport County AFC in the future, whether positive or negative, it will be absolutely not a direct result of anything that Bangitintrnet or anyone else on here has said or repeated.........

While I have been merely a board member of both organisations, any conflict has been manageable. As Chairman of Newport Live, doing so becomes extremely difficult bordering on impossible.

I have no wish to put either organisation in an awkward position, hence my decision to stand down as a Club and Trust director.

For clarity, this is the sole reason for my resignation. There is no boardroom split, there has been no behind-the-scenes bust-up, there has been no disagreement with my fellow County directors.

Kevin Ward' is claiming that becoming chairman of Newport Live makes it impossible for him to remain a director of Newport as there is now a conflict of interests.

If there is a conflict of interests now, that conflict existed when he was a director of both organizations. Far more of interest would be if Mr Ward or Newport County were to tell us what that conflict is.

For instance if Newport County are paying to hire Newport Stadium to train, then clearly there is a conflict. But if monies were being transferred from one company of which Mr Ward was a director, to another company of which Mr Ward was a director, well that as they say, doesn't pass the smell test.

That's not what it says.
You're right.

It says 'increased conflict of interest'.

So we now know that a director of Newport County had a conflict of interest as a director of Newport County. He has now made it clear where his loyalties lie.

Shameful behaviour by Mr Ward. As there was a conflict he should have resigned immediately or if already a director of Newport Live never stood for election to the board of Newport County.

Typical Bangit reply to deflect the issues of lack of transparency and communications from the club/trust.
For your information I retired early only a couple of years ago and so have not been out of the work place for too long.
And what has any of this got to do with your daughters? I don't wish you and your daughters any ill, but really no one is interested in your daughters careers or whether anyone is on long or short contracts.
Fans are interested in what's going on in the club, which we all do support and want the best from.

Let's be quite clear about this.

The duty of a director of Newport Live is to get the highest fee possible for the hire of Newport Stadium.

The duty of a director of Newport County is the pay the lowest fee possible for the hire of Newport Stadium.

Anybody who fails to understand that to be a director of both organizations stinks, is at best so naive that they really should not be allowed out without adult supervision.
