I see your point. Contrary to that they did have three days to recover and weren't by accounts at full throttle in the second half v Doncaster. My view is that it's impossible to keep a high press full on for 90 minutes.

I see your point. Maybe 3 days isn't long enough for them to recover when they play the high press game. Maybe they weren't at full throttle in the 2nd half against the yorkies because they were running on empty. Using subs earlier on Saturday would have got the new men up to speed earlier.

I read into GC's post presser that he thinks Jameson needs to man-up a little with his injury.
See Evans goal totally differently. The goalie clearly clattered into Evans who was off the ground and directly under the ball. legitimate goal and clear foul by the keeper IMO.
Appears like keepers have become untouchable and able to committ fouls outfield players can't.

I was surprised that he allowed it, not because I didn't think it was a goal but because you usually get penalised for breathing near the goalkeeper nowadays. Plus the referee didn't seem keen on giving anything in County's favour throughout the game...

It was obvious to all to see that Crewe had come out and pushing up more after half-time. GC should have made a tactical change to counteract this, but didn't. Other than Seberry for Jameson at the end of the first half, for injury, he didn't make any substitutions until the 75th minute after their 4th goal had gone in. There were players blowing out their arses by then and others that had been poor all game. Very poor decision making from GC. He seemed to demonstrate that he doesn't have faith in many players beyond the 11 that take the field...

GC showing his true colours blaming everyone else when it was his poor judgement, slagging off Jameson was really poor management, he sign the lad on a 2year contract knowing he had little game time through injuries. Seberry has no experience in the EFL and exposed, did the lads little confidence I would have thought. Where's Bright? surely a better option, Payne why sign him not sure where he fits in. Of the the four GC states he lost, maybe they didn't like him or his methods. Bowen discarded beccause he was too technical. GC is not a proven manager look at his record, comes across has a bully to me. The sooner there is a buy out for the club the better, a board who understands business and experienced in running clubs football or rugby would be welcome.

Just a thought. Teams tend to be more cagey first half. Signs on Saturday that the high tempo press can't be kept up for 90 minutes. I wonder would a better plan be to be far more negative for 45 mins and turn on the high press after half time?
Sorry to quote myself but it appears that once again I was right. I do so wish people would listen to me a bit more often, and not listen to those who disagree with me.

Trying to press for 90 minutes in 32 degrees of heat was madness.
