Re: Evidence of a sign of life on a faraway planet

Only a matter of time. The numbers alone make it highly improbable that we're the only planet with something living on it. We also seem to constantly (and arrogantly) assume that life can only develop in the same conditions as Earth. Obviously if life evolves under different conditions, it could still exist, just not as we know it.

Let's face it though, if there's any intelligent life out there, they'll stay very far away from this shambles of a planet. People blowing each other up over sky fairies, people starving to death while others blast themselves into space in dick measuring contests. They'd be well advised to just pass us by and let us destroy each other.
