Don't listen to people like Chris Davies, or Bangitintrnet they do not understand what Newport County mean to us true fans.

I'm sure lots of people are wondering the same as myself about Chris Davies, he became a member of this Forum in June this year just when the rumor started about Huw Jenkins. Both Chris Davies (he is definitely plotting something), and Bangitintrnet have an agenda.

Chris Davies might be a really nice person, but do we need someone like that representing the fans?
I have to jump to my own defence. If you read my originating post you will clearly see that I describe it as a "contribution to the debate" and I also made it clear in that debate that I am very much in favour of a Trust. I have previously posted why the Trust is well worth retaining.

If I have an agenda, that agenda is to see a strong and very independent Trust that does work as an important partner to HJ and is focused on supporting the AFC.

The timing of my joining this forum arises from three things. The first is that I did not relocate to this country until October of last year, so until that time I was not able to realistically participate in affairs of the Club. The second thing is that I started to post on FB but was then advised to also post on this forum. The third thing is that significant issues affecting the Trust and the AFC did not arise until about June.

As to being a true fan, I was born and bred in Newport and first started to watch the County in 1966. I don't know how you judge a "true fan" but all I can say is that before my return, I followed all the County's matches on follow and immediately on my return bought a season ticket and joined the Trust

I do not hide behind a pseudonym and I have always been honest with you including fully answering your questions, which have sometimes been personal in their nature.

Actually, a number of people both publicly and privately have asked me to stand for election as a Trust Director, if an opportunity arises. I am therefore assuming that some people do want me representing the fans.

I will reply to you later. But before I do, let me say just this. For a 71 year old person (so you say), who's just came back to the UK (from France), to kick the bucket (your words, not mine), you look rather well? You must be careful at all times who you talk to.

Chris, for the sake of your sanity I would ignore the poster Torquay Exile. Over the years he has had many personas on this forum, most notably when he called himself The Competition Man, and embarrassed himself regularly with his output. He has form for snide insinuations, and bizarre and almost abstract posts including the type of weird questions he puts to you.

I admire your patience with him, but he is just a trouble maker and best ignored.

I'm no trouble-maker. I'm not the person you mentioned. I do expect an apology from you, having said that you find it difficult to apologise to anyone. When I'm wrong and out of order, I apologies without hesitation. You sir/madam should be the apologising too me, you can send it by private message if like, but I won't hold my breath.

I also see that you Joined May 7th, 2023, 7:11 am. Another user name I wonder?

When someone wants to become one of The Trust Directors , you should be able ask them any questions, if they want your vote (the same goes for politicians). And when they have answered your questions, you then look (it's then all about doing your own research) to see if they are telling you the truth. Do they have anything to hide, do they have any skeletons in the closet?

Do you have anything hide Sir/Madam (SixtyYearFan)?

Thanks for that and your valuable advice. I am more than happy to respond to people who are genuine in their comments and questions because that is the way that all County fans can progress some important debates on matters important to the Club and the Trust. Unfortunately, on all the forums, there are some who operate in the ways you describe. Goodness knows what their motives are and what 'pleasure' they derive from it. Fortunately, they are quite easy to spot because at some point they come out in their true colours. I shall not be responding to any further posts or questions from 'Torquay Exile'.

On the bright side, I suppose that I should be grateful for some things in his post. He's right, I look nowhere near 71 and I am a very nice person
