His last few years stats have proved he hasnt been prolific...He may have lost a bit of his pace he had but the last time I saw him play against us he was a pain in the arse for defenders.
I think it was when he played for Grimsby in the 20-21 season and he caused our defenders all sorts of problems for an hour
Yes he is 36 , probably being paid pocket money, playing more for love than wages but IMO we could do worse than see if he is interested in at least a short term deal....
I am not sure if he would be interested but maybe a coaching role as well as a playing role...coaching the young strikers we have (Rai, Wood and Evans) . Surely after years of playing football league he would know a few things to pass on to them
If we cant match what Newport City are offering him we may as well pack up now
