Indeed, Dai Woodhams I believe. I visited there in the seventies, eerie seeing rows upon rows of steam engines, some rusting hulks and many not that old, hence their suitability for purchase by preservation societies.

I just missed “the steam age” which must have been fascinating for young railway enthusiasts.

I missed the steam age too. In fact I very nearly missed the diesel-hydraulics that followed in their wake.
